WHAT IS CABLE PULLING LUBRICANT?
Cable pulling lubricant is used during cable installation
to reduce friction between a cable's outer surface and
the inside of a compatible conduit or duct. It helps
the cable move more smoothly along the installation
route when the product is suitable for the cable and
installation materials.
During installation, cables may need to pass through
long conduits, narrow pathways, or routes with multiple
bends. Friction can make these operations more difficult.
Using an appropriate cable pulling lubricant can help
reduce resistance during the pulling process.
The right product depends on the cable construction,
outer jacket material, conduit type, installation
conditions, and manufacturer's recommendations.
For electrical contractors, cable installers, and
industrial project teams, choosing a suitable lubricant
is an important consideration when planning cable
installation work.
